The Knowledge Center for Welfare and Assistive Technology West Denmark hosted an international conference in Vejle May 23rd 2019 with a dedicated focus on:
Megatrends within simulation – pedagogy and learning aimed at demands on the future healthcare labor markets.

The conference focused on the most recent methods, trends and megatrends within the simulation area. In
addition to the two key-note speakers the participants will be given a chance to attend a number of workshops held
by specialists in the field of ”Healthcare Simulation” from all over the world.
This course contains the A1 workshop: Building a Simulation-Based Curricculum: The Essentials, Debriefing and Evaluation Approaches by Keynote speaker Pamela R. Jeffries.
This presentation will provide the basic elements needed when creating a simulation-based curriculum. Key essentials will be described in addition to different debriefing approaches which are important to connect theory to practice for the learner or new graduate.
To obtain the evidence and outcome data, evaluation strategies will be presented to provide an overview how to measure the sucess of simulation outcomes, the process of implementing a simulation and the overall student learning outcomes.
